Located in the Fisher Hill neighborhood and founded in 1897, the John D. Runkle School has a long and illustrious history. Runkle has a rigorous academic program as well as strong arts program. Runkle is also known for its Reaching Independence through Structured Education (RISE) program for students on the Autism spectrum.
Runkle's PTO supports school activities by supplementing teacher supplies, underwriting field trips, and providing scholarships.
